This will come as no shock to anyone who has consumed any media in New Hampshire over the past month: The Statists of the Month for February 2019 are the New Hampshire Democrats. We must make special mention of House Democrats, a few in specific:

Though February may have seemed like the coldest month we’ve had in a while, A Democratic State Representative proposed a bill that would begin to criminalize many wood stoves. The committee recommended the bill be killed. 130 Democrats voted against that recommendation, hoping to keep the bill alive. Only 69 Democrats voted in favor of the committee’s ITL recommendation. Thankfully, every Republican present voted to kill the bill, so it was killed by a small margin.

New Hampshire Democrats accomplished what they could not accomplish last year: They passed their horrific income/payroll tax bill in the Senate. Last year, it passed the House. The Liberty Block reached over 20,000 New Hampshire Facebook users with our articles opposing the bill. It failed in the Senate. This year, the Democrats have a 14-10 majority in the upper chamber, so it could not be stopped.
