The Statist of the Month for April 2019 is NYC Mayor, Bill Deblasio, earning the title for the 4th time, which is the most of all statists.

The mayor directed all 50 NYC government agencies to stop using single-use plastic utensils and indicated that he supports the bill to ban plastic utensils for all NYC restaurants, citing 'big oil' as the reason for our pervasive use of plastic utensils.

Honorable mention:
​
The politicians and the police officials in Haymarket, Virginia passed a new law mandating that all residents with vehicles must 'brand' them with the sign of their owners - the town officials.
